We do bookkeeping for VAT, Payroll, Bank Reconciliation and Cash Book Analysis. All our clients are more than happy.

We do bookkeeping for VAT, Payroll, Bank Reconciliation and Cash Book Analysis. All our clients are more than happy. Value Added Tax (VAT) is one of the most complex of all UK taxes. Various departments are there to regulate and police VAT taxes. VAT computation is not simply about adding up the output liability and taking off the input liability. We have therefore established VAT & bookkeeping services as one of our core areas of expertise.

If you are a new Start-up business, then speak to us and we can advise on: if you need to be registered for VAT; qualifying expenditure; how to keep VAT records; what to do if your circumstances change; back dating VAT receipts.

What We do on VAT:
  • VAT Registration or De-registration
  • Bookkeeping & Preparation of VAT returns
  • Submission of online returns and dealing with HMRC
  • VAT advisory services for specific circumstances

Many of our larger clients (and some small) prefer to do their own payroll and use Taxgiant for advice on trickier PAYE/NI issues. Although, the Inland Revenue is making big efforts to improve their level of service, our clients prefer the immediate and personalised responses they receive from Taxgiant.

Payroll is not complicated but it is a complex & time-consuming issue. You can leave the full responsibility for processing the wages, PAYE/NIC, addressing technical matters and keeping the confidentiality of this sensitive aspect of the business away from the workplace into Taxgiant hands.

Our payroll services
  • Payroll services can be provided weekly or monthly.
  • You tell us how many hours your employees have worked and we will send you their payslip and inform you the Tax and NI that need to be paid.
  • If you are sub-contractor we will deal with all the aspects.
  • We will complete all year-end reports, supply P45 & P60 etc

Bank Reconciliation

A company's general ledger account Cash contains a record of the transactions (cheques written, receipts from customers, etc.) that involve its checking account. The bank also creates a record of the company's checking account when it processes the company's checks, deposits, service charges, and other items. Soon after each month ends the bank usually posts a bank statement to the company. The bank statement lists the activity in the bank account during the recent month as well as the balance in the bank account.

When the company receives its bank statement, the company should verify that the amounts on the bank statement are consistent or compatible with the amounts in the company's Cash account in its general ledger and vice versa. This process of confirming the amounts is referred to as reconciling the bank statement, bank statement reconciliation or bank reconciliation.

What Taxgiant does on bank reconciliation
  • We check every single transaction carefully
  • We reconcile the bank statement amount with the Cash reported by the company (company's books) and maintain the consistency

The goal of tax planning is to arrange your financial affairs so as to minimize your taxes.

When it comes to taxes, whether it's income tax, corporation tax, or VAT, it is wise to ensure you aren't paying more than you need to. Taxation can be very complicated and the rules, reliefs and allowances often change, so it's important to make sure you are aware of the current laws to make sure you can manage your personal finances in a tax-efficient way. By understanding how taxation works you should be better prepared to manage your finances, and could end up saving money in the long run.

In the UK, the tax year runs from 6 April through to 5 April. During this time the Government requires everyone to pay an appropriate level of income tax on their earned income, which helps to pay for things like education and healthcare. As well as income tax, you could also be liable for capital gains tax on profits you make from any chargeable assets you have sold, or for tax on gifts you have made during your lifetime.
